Phnom Penh, Cambodia

After a looooong flight, I'm finally in Phnom Penh and finishing up my first day about town. And it's a pretty rough town at that. Not really dangerous, but definitely a developing country and very, very poor. It's eye-opening and pretty depressing if you let it get to you. But I'm settling in well and thought some photos would be welcome:
Wat (Temple) Phnom. The citie's namesake and a relatively calm center in the storm that is the city.

One of Wat Phnom's resident monkey tribe. Surprisingly well behaved, they didn't once try to steal my camera or defecate on me.

Riding in the always present Tuk-tuk, sort of a motorcycle with a trailer on the back.

Tuol Sleng (or S21) Genocide Museum. A former primary school, this is the site of some of the worst atrocities of the Khmer Rouge years. They've left it pretty much as it was found. A very chilling and sobering place.

And finally it is most definitly the rainy seson here. Torrents, I tell ya.
